This Indigenous-owned tourism enterprise, located in the remote town of Bamaga, at the northernmost point of mainland Australia, is truly remarkable. It is no easy task to meet 4-star quality tourism standards in a region marked by monsoonal rains, cyclones, flooding rivers and extreme heat, but Cape York Peninsula Lodge does just that. So much so that in 2022 it was awarded Gold in the highly competitive Queensland Tourism Awards, along with a Silver medal placing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tourism. Our team have been working with Cape York Peninsula Lodge on several projects that included tourism planning, successful grant applications and business development through successive Tourism Award submissions.
